<p>I work as a systems administrator. When I started this position, I expected long and erratic working hours. Even with my best preparations, it has unexpectedly taken its toil on me. This is a terrible way to start a blog when its first three posts consists of nothing but negative expressions. Coming back to the topic in discussion, I was not expected for a work environment that was rather unfriendly to modern solutions. </p>

<p>Without divulging sensitive information, in the years prior starting this position, I have read horror stories and textbook examples of cases of such work environments. I have always chalked them off as mythical and tales that exist in the world of Evil Corp. Standing knee deep in one now, I gain a sense of surrealism as realization sets in that this is not a place for one to stay for long. </p>

<p>I wish to maintain my idealism, however : to continue pursuing my path as a systems administrater. I cannot falter, as tripping would only lead me down a dark that I cannot return. The idealism that I can push for changes to make a better work environment. To stare deep enough in the abyss, without it staring back at me. </p>

||

<p>While work is dreary and disappointing, there are some news that I look forward to. The Raspberry Pi 4 was something that I failed to recount in my last blog post. Coming in at a similar package size while bumping up to 4 cores and 4GB of RAM, it looks very attractive for homelabbers and hackers. After going through the benchmarks, it is safe to say that I am seriously considering obtaining one to replace the Atom Netbook I have now. </p>

<p>Congratulations to AMD for their impressive performance of their Naples lineup. I hope that their CPUs will break records while making headways in datacenters and servers.</p>
